From the Highlands to the Shire
In celebration of our 25th Anniversary, the Triangle Wind Ensemble presents Malcolm Arnold’s Four Scottish Dances and Johan de Meij’s Gandalf from The Lord of the Rings Symphony No. 1—an afternoon of bold fanfares and moving reflection.
In celebration of our 25th Anniversary, the Triangle Wind Ensemble's fall concert will feature a collection of our favorite pieces that we have played since our organization was founded. The season opener, From the Highlands to the Shire, will feature Malcolm Arnold's Four Scottish Dances and Gandalf from Johan de Meij’s epic Symphony No. 1: The Lord of the Rings. We'll also perform Shostakovich’s jubilant Festive Overture and Morton Lauridsen’s solemn O Magnum Mysterium. With bold fanfares and moments of profound reflection, this concert promises an afternoon of wonderful music-making.
