A Night of Romantasy, a literary celebration and the annual fundraising gala for the Redbud Writing Project, will take place at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 19, 2025 at The Loading Dock on Beryl Road in Raleigh. The theme of the immersive evening is inspired by romantasy—the wildly popular genre that combines romance and fantasy; think "Fourth Wing" and "A Court of Thorns and Roses." Gala attendees can expect:

-Readings of romantasy-inflected work by Redbud students

-Fairy hair and tiaras

-A ballroom-worthy soundtrack

-A throne for photo ops

-And catered food and drink by Spread NC.

-Costumes are optional but encouraged.

More than a celebration, the gala is Redbud’s primary fundraiser. All proceeds will support its operations and a growing slate of free community writing programs for marginalized and underrepresented populations across the Triangle.
