Experience the beauty and wonder of the night sky at our weekly stargazing events, held every Saturday evening at sundown from now through November. Join fellow skywatchers and members of the Chapel Hill Astronomical and Observational Society (CHAOS) for an unforgettable guided journey through the stars, right here in Durham. Just steps beyond the Fairview Dining Room patio, high-powered telescopes will offer breathtaking views of constellations, planets and other celestial marvels. CHAOS astronomers will be on hand to illuminate the mysteries above – sharing fascinating insights, fun facts and answering your questions as you explore the night sky like never before. Guests dining or staying at the Inn or JB Duke Hotel, as well as members of the Inn’s Executive Club, are warmly invited to participate. Whether you're a seasoned stargazer or simply curious, all ages and experience levels are welcome to join. In case of cloudy skies or inclement weather, some sessions may be rescheduled. Overnight guests at the Inn will receive up-to-date programming reminders upon check-in.
