The Glass Jug Beer Lab and Bull City Running Co. are proud to present the 3rd annual Bull City Beer Mile on Saturday, April 7, 2024, in Downtown Durham's Central Park. *What is a Beer Mile?*A 1-mile drinking race combining running and speed drinking. Our race takes place on a 1/4-mile loop around Central Park. The race begins with the consumption of a 12-oz beer (RUN DRM lager brewed by The Glass Jug Beer Lab), followed by a 1/4 mile lap around the park. The second lap continues similarly; another 12-oz beer is consumed before commencing the running of the second lap. This process is repeated for the next two laps. Following the completion of the fourth beer and fourth running lap, you will cross the finish line! You can compete as an individual or as part of a 2- or 4-person relay team. All competitors must be 21+. *New for 2024!*Every participant or team not only receives four 12-ounce beers to consume as part of the race, but every runner also gets a pair of custom Bull City Beer Mile socks and a moisture-wicking headband...for soaking up sweat, not beer! Also, be sure to check out the optional add-ons for some new Beer Mile swag, including awesome new quick-dry hats (plus shirts, koozies, and more!) The top 3 individual men and women, as well as the fastest 4-person and 2-person relay teams, will receive (huge) Bull City Beer Mile medals that double as bottle openers. *Party in the Park*This is more than just a race...it's a party! With heats running from 2pm until 5:30pm, and the party going until 7, we'll have a live DJ keeping things popping. Two food trucks will be on site to satiate your hunger - Santopietro’s Sandwiches and Tasty Turkeyque.
