May is National Bike Month and Saturday is our Kick-off. eBike Central, North Carolina's largest eBike retailer wants you to test an eBike! Learn more about Cargo bikes and how folks use them to commute, run errands and chauffeur kids to school and more. Meet our friends at Letters Bookshop and learn how to join the Bike themed book club starting in June -we are taking suggestions from you for the 4th book at the Kick-off! We are celebrating our 10 year Anniversary -there will be cake, festive beverages, other beverages and snacks. Meet our partners in sustainable trasnsportation, get a tune up from the Durham Bike CoOp, learn about what bike might be right for you from bike shop Durham Cycles. There will be drawings for prizes throughout the event 2pm to 5:30pm - no purchase necessary. Finally, join a bike ride, the Durham hiSTORY ride led by Ernie Mills of the Durham History Museum - family friendly ride of about 5 miles with stops along the way to learn fun and interesting history tidbits. Ride leaves at 2pm from the Museum of Durham History - returns around 3:15pm. Register HERE for the event and/or ride.
