Brookside Bodega, which has taken over the former Falafel & Co. space between Raleigh’s Oakwood and Mordecai neighborhoods, will celebrate its grand opening on June 10 with family-friendly events on its extensive patio.  Timed to the last day of the Wake County school year, the festivities will allow families to celebrate the arrival of summer vacation. Sidewalk chalk artist, Chalk by Taylor, will decorate the patio earlier in the day. The schedule of events includes children’s carnival games from 4-7 p.m. and live music from the band, Say Less, from 5-9 p.m. on the patio.
