On the morning of Tuesday, September 16, community members from across Wake County will gather at Venture Hall inside Marbles Kids Museum for Coffee & Culture — an energizing celebration of the region’s vibrant arts scene. Running from 8 to 9:30am, the event offers a unique blend of networking, live performance, and recognition of arts leadership.
A highlight of the morning will be a special performance by Crescenloe, the acclaimed a cappella choir from Enloe High School. Additionally, the 2nd Annual Wake County Arts Champion Awards will be presented, honoring individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to the local arts landscape.
This year’s Individual Arts Champion is Al Sturgis, widely known for his work with the North Carolina Master Chorale. The Organizational Arts Champion Award will go to Arts NC State, which supports and elevates the arts across North Carolina State University.
More than just a breakfast gathering, Coffee & Culture serves as a tribute to the many artists, sponsors, and civic leaders who help shape Wake County’s cultural identity. The event recognizes the impact of United Arts Council grant recipients while strengthening ties between creative professionals, businesses, and public officials.
Organizers encourage attendance from all sectors of the community, inviting participants to build new connections and celebrate the shared value of the arts.
