Local Cat Shelter Makes Room for the Little Ones

Jun 13, 2017 01:18PM ● By Grace Drescher
Kitten Season is the time of year when cats typically give birth causing an influx of homeless litters. With so many kittens born this time of year, SAFE Haven for Cats found it fit to celebrate! The no-kill shelter is dedicating a whole weekend to the little ones.

On Friday, June 23, 2017, SAFE Haven will host a Kitten Shower! Attendees are encouraged to bring needed food and other supply items from SAFE Haven's registry or their Amazon Wishlist. In addition, they will preview the kittens and cats in the shelter up for adoption before the weekend adoption event. At the Kitten Shower, attendees get to: suggest names for the kittens, purchase “kitten artwork” created by budding artists, and enjoy delicious cupcakes. This is a great event for all ages! No RSVP needed!

On Saturday, June 24 and Sunday, June 25, 2017, Kitten Palooza will take place. Bring a baby into your family and adopt a kitten or cat! Adoptions will be offered for only $50 in an effort to make space for more kittens born during the height of Kitten Season. All cats are ready to go home that day! Before they are ready for adoption, each kitten is spayed or neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and thoroughly examined by licensed staff veterinarians.

Adopting and donating will enable SAFE Haven to be prepared for all of the new arrivals!
