Feb 17, 2015 12:07PM ● By Grace Drescher
Tour D'Coop takes place every March and features urban homes across the Triangle with chickens, farms and beehives. The Tour is a major fundraiser for Urban Ministries of Wake County, a non-profit human service organization that alleviates the effects of poverty in Wake County by meeting people's basic needs for food, shelter, and healthcare. Also in this issue, Brian extolls the virtues of locally sourced menu at the the reinvented Mo's Diner, now Holly's on Hargett and Christy enjoys a tasty lunch the popular DeMo's Pizzeria and Deli in Glenwood South. Russ tries a beer or two at RTP's neighborhood craft beer perveyors, Gizmo Brewing. We sample the wares from Sarge's in our latest We Heart Food Truck series and visit a few more local coffee roasters across the Triangle. In Uncorked, James dishes out the scoop on micro-wineries in California making wine from grapes you've never heard of. And Linda loves the Wonderland show at the Contemporary Art Museum. Enjoy!
