Volume 8 Issue 12: 4th Annual 9 for the Needy

Dec 19, 2012 01:56PM ● By Grace Drescher
In our 4th annual 9 for the Needy issue, we include nine local charities who are in need of reader assistance, through volunteering, donations or just awareness. We visit Sushi Gami in Cameron Village for delicious sushi AND burgers, as well as the newly opened View Bar in Glenwood South for some surprisingly incredible bar food (if you can even call it bar food). Also included in this issue is local retail at Lumina Clothing, information about Raleigh historical figure Dr. Anna Julia Haywood Cooper, amazing art shows at the Contemporary Art Museum and NC Museum of Art, Redress Raleigh's 5th year of presenting ecoconscious fashion, fortified wine recommendations from The Wine Feed, business profile on Videri Chocolate Factory, Downtown Planning from the Raleigh Urban Design Center, and why top retailers aren't addressing their customers tweets.
