Roots Fest
on Hillsborough Street
Live & Local: Roots Fest is a FREE community event on Hillsborough Street celebrating the roots of North Carolina arts and music with two stages, local artists, and local beer.
Ike Stubblefield, who has performed and recorded with the likes of Eric Clapton, Quincy Jones, and Al Green will headline the main stage. Featured performers range from a large Caribbean dance orchestra to the African American Dance Ensemble, and Greg Humphreys Electric Trio. The goal of our performers is to represent the diversity of North Carolina.
The robust kids' zone will include free crafts, bouncy houses, and special performances by Mr. Erik Rock n' Roll Storyteller and engaging percussion workshop led by One Tribe.
