Father-son duo Trey and Lawson Rankin have opened a flavorful new shop in Historic Downtown Apex. The Spice & Tea Exchange of Apex opened to the public on Friday, August 29th, to a throng of happy customers. They will host a Grand Opening celebration on Friday, November 14th, through Sunday, November 16th, at 104A North Salem Street in Apex, the former home of The Rusty Bucket. And it’s coming just at the right time, with plenty of gift sets, seasonal candles, accessories, and recipe bundles, perfect for getting a jump on holiday shopping.

“My dad and I both started this journey as customers at other The Spice & Tea Exchange®,” says Trey Rankin, co-owner of The Spice & Tea Exchange® of Apex. “I personally enjoy using the products to add tons of flavor to whatever I’m cooking, while still keeping it nutritious. It’s been a huge help getting my toddler to try new foods and flavors.”

 The Spice & Tea Exchange® joins a thriving business community in the historic district of Apex, North Carolina. The gourmet shop fits in perfectly, with a warm and friendly vibe from the moment you enter. Visiting The Spice & Tea Exchange® of Apex is a sensorial and interactive experience, where jars are designed to be opened and sniffed. The staff hand-blends a wide range of traditional and signature blends in-store daily, including fun seasonal blends. Customers can also explore shelves of infused sugars, honey, olive oils, maple syrup, seasonal specialties, and over 80 of the freshest teas made with unique, high-quality leaves and aromatics. The new The Spice & Tea Exchange® of Apex also features a tea bar offering hot and cold pours of its loose-leaf teas. The Rankins will eventually carry select regional specialties and look forward to hosting special events in the store, including tastings, small dinners, and more. The Spice & Tea Exchange® of Apex is currently offering wholesale purchasing to area restaurants, food purveyors, and other culinary outfits.

The Spice & Tea Exchange® of Apex will celebrate a Grand Opening on Friday, November 14th, through Sunday, November 16th, open daily from 10am to 8pm. Visitors during the Grand Opening can enjoy free samples and 10 percent off all consumables throughout the weekend.
